Your responsibilities and tasks:
A role with responsibility and focus on our digital products
The members of the IP team are based all around Europe. Our team is highly specialized and we are experts in our field. We support each other and we trust each individual’s opinion and knowledge. In this position, you will be analyzing, structuring, planning, optimizing, and enhancing the Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio with focus on digital products. This also means that you will be evaluating and harvesting digital inventions globally, and to do this successfully, the IP processes in the digital and software teams need to be strengthened.
Furthermore, you will:
- Develop and design IP strategies and business models for future topics in collaboration with the digital IP Board
- Strengthen the internal program to solicit patentable ideas
- Advise on contractual clauses concerning IP
- Conduct strategic surveillance of third-party patent publications in relevant fields
- Secure Freedom to Operate (FTO) for digital products
- Have responsibility for global digital patent and trademark budgets and cost-benefit analyses
- Ensure that our established IP procedures and IP guidelines are followed and suggest related improvements
- Ensure the quality of the IP process for digital topics (acc. national and international standards for IP and innovation)
- Provide internal training and workshops on digital IP
- Manage external patent and trademark attorneys
Your profile and qualifications:
Intellectual Property expertise and a love of teamwork
With excellent communication skills, you can interact closely with internal and external stakeholders and advocate for the importance of IP rights.
At the same time, you are always willing to learn more, which drives you to stay up to date with the latest legislations and continuously understand our new products and inventions.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
- Are educated as Software Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Data Scientist or in another related technical field
- Have worked in software or as a patent reader
- Have IP knowledge and experience or at least an interest in patents, trademarks and designs
- Thrive with having the responsibility of your area and the ability to prioritize your time
- Naturally are seen as the trusted advisor within your field
- Are fluent in English
