Core Responsibilities
As a junior mould designer you will play a meaningful role in the Moulding Analytics Center (MAC) Mould Design team constructing test moulds needed to run relevant injection moulding tests to support various agendas such as the Sustainable Materials Program, understanding moulding process related product quality issues, driving moulding process related productivities to be implemented in the global moulding production factories etc. More specifically you will:
- Ensure mould constructions are delivered on time, on cost, in good quality, and in alignment to requested criteria’s
- Make the technical decisions related to the 3D/2D mould designs
- Ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Analyze and provide solutions for mould design related problems in a MAC context
- Collaborate with MAC internal partners including engineers and moulding professionals to ensure delivery on time, cost and quality
- Create/update mould designs according to internal platform and standards
- Play an active role in safeguarding the planning and priority process within the MAC mould design team

You will join the Mould Design team in Billund consisting of a diverse group of Mould Leads, Designers and Supporters.
We are part of the Moulding Analytics Center (MAC), which is the competence center for one of the LEGO Groups core capabilities: Injection moulding. MAC is responsible for developing mould parameters and standards for existing and future materials and moulding process solutions via data driven decision-making for engineering solutions across functions.
Do you have what it takes?
We are looking for a newly graduated Mould Designer with a positive and collaborative mentality who thrives a fast-paced environment working in cross cultural teams. In addition, we imagine that you have:
- Knowledge and experience in NX System, 3D Design, Microsoft Office and SAP is needed.
- Knowledge on moulding processes and plastic materials in general.
- Knowledge of toolmaking
- Ability to analyze mould design related problems and come up with technical solutions
- Proficiency in English both written and spoken, Danish is an advantage
