Your role and responsibilities
ABB is a leading supplier of solutions for increased productivity and energy efficiency. Our Industrial Automation division provides safety and automation systems, IT solutions, drives and electrical systems, telecommunication systems, and instrumentation to both onshore and offshore installations. We serve a wide variety of industries, including aluminum, cement, chemical, food and beverage, life sciences, metal, mining, energy, power generation, and pulp & paper. Our Cyber, IT, and Network teams in Norway are based in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, and Stord. Position Overview: We are currently seeking new members for our Cyber, IT, and Network team in Stavanger. This role involves supporting several fixed installations in the North Sea with our products and services. Projects can range from one week to several years. Your Responsibilities: • Shape the future of digital ABB with a focus on cyber security, networks, and OT (operational technology). • Solve new and existing challenges through innovative design and technology choices. • Handle assignments for Norwegian and international customers and suppliers within renewable energy, oil and gas, and land-based industry segments. • Design, implement, document, and test solutions within cyber security, networks, and OT. • Work both from the office and on-site, with opportunities for travel. Typical Tasks: • Design and engineer networks, cyber security, and OT for traditional and virtual control systems. • Integrate virtual control systems and larger networks. • Stay updated with new technologies, such as firewalls, cloud services, network monitoring, threat detection, and resilience to cyber-attacks. • Keep abreast of relevant standards for security in control systems, including IEC 62443.

Qualifications for the role

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in networking, cyber security, and/or OT.
• Interest in learning about our technology.
• Enjoy working in teams and sharing knowledge.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written; Norwegian is an advantage.
• Experience in cyber, IT, and network is an advantage.
