As a Senior IT Support Specialist, you will be part of Global IT Support team within the FDB IT Department. You will work together with other highly dedicated and skilled colleagues focused on the mission of ensuring a stable, efficient, and compliant IT services. Simplicity and agility are important in everything we do. Deliver world class IT support by providing correct IT solution in a timely and user aligned manor.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day IT Support of the FDB end users’ digital workplace. Proactively facilitating the end user’s experience throughout their life cycle and mitigating disruption of the business. Responsible for delivering a resilient IT Support service through continual improvement of service and processes.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Relating to Internal Customers: provision of timely and effective support to ensure the satisfaction of internal customers. Understand and anticipate the needs to enhance the quality-of-service delivery. (70%)
- Relating to the Technology: responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and security of systems/technologies under your management. Keeping up to date with technological advancements and implementing system and process improvements in your area (15%)
- Relating to Process: Adherence to ITIL or relevant IT service management (ITSM) frameworks is expected, along with the responsibility for documenting and refining IT processes to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness. (10%)
- Relating to Project Management: you will manage your own or contribute to larger IT projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and stay within budget. Employing best practices in project management (5)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide the day-to-day IT Support.
- Ensure response to all end user inquiries toward the IT engagement model via IT phone, direct contact and IT service management tool.
- Monitor and operate the Incident Management and Service Requests fulfillment processes in our IT service management tool.
- Manage and coordinate Critical Incident for minimum disruption of the business.
- Manage On/Off boarding of end users’ devices, resources, and accesses incl. introduction to IT.
- Procure and ensure local IT equipment availability and local IT storage management.
- Interface with Global cross functional teams to coordinate, standardize and optimize support effort.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support and improve IT services.
- Participate and contribute to problem and IT Knowledge management.
- Participate in IT project on a business need basis.
- Participate in On Call rotary.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree with a preference for additional certifications relevant
to the role; significant experience in the IT field. or any combination of
education and experience, which would provide an equivalent
background
- 3+ years’ of experience in the ServiceDesk, Deskside/ Helpdesk area.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- It's expected from you to exhibit a high level of self-sufficiency and the capability to lead by example. You should have a solid foundation in problem-solving and be adept at communicating complex concepts clearly. Your role involves not only advancing projects with minimal supervision but also mentoring junior colleagues and sharing your knowledge to uplift the entire team
- Fully proficient in both written and spoken English.
