Join us as our new Data Privacy & Compliance Specialist
We are looking for our new colleague, a Data Privacy & Compliance Specialist, to join our Legal Compliance team. As a data privacy and compliance specialist, you will play an important role in upholding our commitment to ensure a responsible handling of personal data in Novonesis in compliance with applicable data privacy/data protection laws.
You will support our Global Privacy Officer in maintaining and developing our data privacy compliance framework. You will participate in compliance projects and offer guidance in privacy compliance matters within a complex and evolving regulatory landscape, while working closely with teams across the company to tackle real-world challenges.
Welcome to the Legal Compliance Team
The Legal Compliance team is part of the overall Legal function in Novonesis, which counts app. 60 employees worldwide. Our purpose is to ensure a team of highly skilled legal and compliance experts who support the organization in achieving its business objectives while adhering to legal and ethical standards. We strive to provide lean, pragmatic solutions with a strong business acumen and unwavering integrity, establish compliance policies and programs, manage cases of non-compliance, advise on compliance matters, and execute compliance projects within the organization.
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
- Developing, implementing and managing data privacy policies and compliance programs
- Reviewing and advising on data processing agreements
- Conducting data protection impact assessments
- Developing training programs and content
- Working on projects to meet privacy regulations and business needs
- Building awareness about data protection in the organization
- Serving as an advisor on privacy matters, and responding to requests and issues relating to global data privacy issues
Potentially relevant experience:
- Master of Law or MSc in Business Administration & Commercial Law
- Strong understanding of data protection laws
- Experience working with data privacy and compliance from private or public sector
- Experience writing and reviewing privacy-related documents
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
- A practical and thoughtful approach to solving challenges
