Are you passionate about optimizing processes and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic environment? Do you thrive on enhancing quality processes and making a real difference in our daily operations?

If you are motivated to be the go-to expert for colleagues and make a significant impact within our QA team in Hjørring, we want to hear from you! Submit your application today!

The Position
To maximize existing production capacity and enhance the return on new investments, Novo Nordisk has updated its LEAN production system, which now requires implementation. We seek an engineer well-versed in LEAN principles and with a deep understanding of the importance of quality in our processes and products.

Alongside LEAN responsibilities, you should be prepared to undertake additional quality and ad hoc tasks as necessary within the department.

As activities will not constitute a full-time role, you can anticipate involvement in a diverse array of tasks beyond LEAN, ensuring a dynamic and varied workload within the department.

Your key areas of focus will include:

  • Assisting the department in establishing systems for performance and visual management, as well as process confirmation
  • Making standards and structures in the department
  • Leading or supporting colleagues in optimization initiatives within the department
  • Assisting colleagues in structured problem-solving (A3) and facilitating workshops
  • Supporting the management team in strategy deployment and ensure consistency in the action follow-up process
  • Collaborating with other LEAN colleagues at the site and across the QA network regarding knowledge-sharing and development of standards across departments and sites

Qualifications

  • To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
  • Hold a master’s degree in quality, production, manufacturing, engineering, or another relevant field
  • Have experience with fundamental LEAN disciplines such as process mapping, structured problem-solving, establishing performance boards and other visual standards
  • Be familiar with common LEAN tools for standardization and continuous improvement, having participated in multiple optimization projects
  • Be adept at guiding and coaching colleagues and demonstrate a strong quality mindset, eager to drive tasks and be a part of the solution
  • Display proficiency in both spoken and written English

Having experience in the pharma industry, facilitating training and optimization activities, and fluency in Danish would be a significant advantage.

On a personal level, you are open-minded with a positive mindset. You are also curious and self-driven to achieve first-class results with quality in mind, aligning with QA’s commitment to advancing to the next level. Having a structured and data-based approach to problem-solving as well as the ability to collaborate with colleagues from different backgrounds are key to succeeding in this role. You should be open to help where and when needed, even with tasks that may be new to you. Finally, you’ll be joining a team in a dynamic production environment, where deadlines and priorities can shift frequently.

About the Department
You will be part of our quality assurance department in Hjørring, where we are approximately 22 employees. We are responsible for supporting the pen needle production in Hjørring and ensuring the right quality to patients. The department is part of the Needle Manufacturing site in Hjørring in Denmark which is organized in seven departments with approximately 440 employees dedicated to ensuring the pen needle supply to Novo Nordisk.
