The job
The Technical University of Denmark's Biotech Lifelong Learning program is seeking a dynamic academic administrator to be in charge of course budgeting and logistics, as well as a course developer to lead our Lifelong Learning courses in the thriving field of Biotech and Biopharma production.
As the academic administrator your main responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
- Planning the teaching calendar each semester, and coordinating with the course responsible
- Budgeting and planning activities
- Planning committee meetings, taking minutes and ensuring follow-up on action points
- Revising and reviewing the curriculum of courses according to feedback and rules
- Planning and developing marketing material
- Supporting Head of Teaching on scheduling meetings and other ad hoc admin tasks
As the educational developer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and refining educational materials to create engaging and effective learning resources
- Teach at courses tailored for industry professionals, covering a diverse range of biomanufacturing topics
- Meticulously planning and delivering both theoretical lectures and hands-on practical exercises to ensure comprehensive learning experiences
- Continuously assessing and enhancing the courses you teach, fostering a culture of constant improvement
- Collaborating closely with the administrative team to strategize and implement robust marketing strategies that drive the success and visibility of our courses
Our expectations of you
We are looking for skilled people with a deep comprehension of the Lifelong Learning area and experience from similar positions. You should be proficient in catering to learners at various levels, adapting your approach to meet their diverse needs in a professional and inclusive manner.
We expect you to have:
- A relevant educational background at either the bachelor's or master's level.
- A comprehensive understanding of culture and work flows at a University
- Fluency in English, enabling you to effectively communicate with non-native English-speaking.
For the position as an educational developer we also expect you to have:
- A comprehensive understanding of biomanufacturing, acquired through academic and practical experiences
- Ideally, a well-rounded background that encompasses both research laboratory and industry experience
- A proven track record in teaching
- A history of contributing to course development

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
The position is dependent on a continued income generated by Lifelong Learning course fees. The position will terminate if income is not sufficient.
Starting date is 1 April 2025 (or according to mutual agreement). The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus (and might occasionally be at Kalundborg).
