RF Engineer - Space Ground Segment EGSE (RF-SCOE)

We are looking for a talented RF Engineer to join our team in developing Space Ground Segment EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment), with a focus on RF-SCOE (Radio Frequency Special Check-Out Equipment).

Whether you're a recent university or college graduate eager to begin your career or an engineer with some professional experience, this role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that support space missions. A Master’s or PhD in a relevant field is highly valued. As an RF Engineer, you’ll design, develop, and test RF satellite test systems and software solutions, ensuring the success of our space missions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement RF-SCOE systems for space missions, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop software solutions for RF systems, including control interfaces, data processing algorithms, and automation scripts, while continuously enhancing your programming expertise.
  • Conduct RF system analysis, simulations, and testing to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, project managers, and sales teams, to deliver integrated RF solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve RF-related issues during integration and testing phases.
  • Stay current with advancements in RF technology and contribute innovative ideas to enhance system capabilities and software functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in RF technology and a proactive approach to continuous learning.
  • Experience with programming / script languages such as Python, C/C++, Java, Tcl/Tk, …
  • Familiarity with communication protocols and standards relevant to RF systems (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, CCSDS protocols) is beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Personal dedication to RF technology; being a radio amateur is a significant plus.
  • Knowledge of the aerospace or satellite industry is advantageous.
