Business Intelligence Frontend Developer

Combining business needs with business insights
You will be part of theIT GIS and Business Intelligence department. We have a common passion for data, and we provide insight into complex areas by presenting data in unique tools that enable data-driven decisions. We are responsible for developing tools but also enabling the company's employees to make use of the solutions created. We do so by teaching our colleagues how to use the solutions built but also to train them to start building Business Intelligence solutions themselves.

The team currently consists of nine members – three in Business Intelligence, five in GIS and one manager. On top of this Frontend Developer position, we will also be adding a Full Stack Developer to our team.

As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our front-end tools within Fabric and Power BI. You will work closely with both the IT department and the rest of the organization to ensure robust and efficient solutions. You will act as a contact between the business and the technical BI developers, where you translate the business's wishes for BI into user-friendly solutions that ensure insight and data-driven decisions. Here you will help to create BI solutions, but also to operate and maintain existing solutions. You will be responsible for specifying requirements for future solutions through analysis of needs and processes and subsequently documenting executed BI solutions.

You will also be responsible for teaching the company's users so that they are well equipped to both use the solutions as well as start developing on their own. We do this through our internal BI certification program and super user program. Adding to this task, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding teaching material.

Your primary collaboration partners will be the company's BI users as well as project owners in the organization. You will also work closely with the rest of the colleagues in the department as well as colleagues in Software Development.

Your profile
We imagine that you have a background in technology, data, finance or business, for example as a data engineer, computer scientist or with a relevant bachelor's or master's degree. The most important thing is your interest in data and analytics. We expect you to have:

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Query M and Dax
• Interest in technology and business needs to be able to design insightful reports
• Experience with data work and analysis as well as basic statistical understanding
• Good English language skills in both writing and speech
