We seek a person to our Bulk Antibody and Assay Solution Product Development, Scientific Support & Affairs team. The primary responsibilities will include design control activities, new product development, and executing tasks related to maintaining our current products.
Our business unit, BAAS Business, delivers high quality antibody products to our partners mainly in the in-vitro diagnostic industry for further manufacturing. Our team’s primary tasks are to support our current business by Late-stage development of new antibody products Application development based on our current products Back-office customer support Product support in terms of registrations and compliance.
Organization
The BAAS business is part of the Pathology division in Agilent. The primary focus is the IVD market. Our team consists of 10 people with the Head Quarter in Denmark and with representation in local markets in China and Japan. Our team has a strong collaboration with the other R&D departments, Production, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Business managers and Sales support.
Main tasks
- Individual Laboratory work We work with ELISA, Immunoturbidimetry and Bead based Chemiluminescence assays. Protein purification and characterization, Antibody conjugation to latex and magnetic beads as well as conjugating reporter molecules to antibodies. We grow several cell types in our cell lab.
- Design documentation Write Design Documents according to the Quality Management System in collaboration with the rest of team and stakeholders from Production and Quality Assurance.
- Cross functional teamwork All our projects are cross-functional so the ability to participate in those are vital.
Qualifications
- Scientific/Technical education from University in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biology or similar.
- Hands-on experience with antibody and antibody-based assays
- Experience in Design control or similar
- Knowledge of diagnostics, clinical biochemistry, human disease and In-vitro diagnostic industry is a plus
- Good communication skills are vital both written and spoken
- Proficiency in English is needed. Understanding Danish is an advantage but not a requirement
- Team player attitude: “Be the best for the team” but at the same time be able to work independently
Flexible: We like to plan our work, however, in an R&D team with service organization responsibility we need to be ready to help our customers when they need us.
Cultural understanding: The successful candidate will have to collaborate with colleagues and customers with a multitude of different backgrounds. In our team we have 7 nationalities.
