Text We offer:
A traineeship of 6 months within the following sections of the EU Delegation to Peru, starting in 1 June 2025.
Traineeship within the Trade Section (TRADE)
Main tasks:
- Monitor economic and trade news and legislative developments;
- Assist the Trade section in the rollout and implementation of communication activities.
- Summarize content on Peru and Bolivia, Trade, Investment and economic information to draft communication material, including speeches, fact sheets, digital media reporting and reports.
- Take part in meetings and support trade officers in the coordination of communication plans, event organization, and others.
- Assist in seminars, meetings and events as required.
- Investigate and compile information on specific topics, key personalities and organizations of interest for the Cooperation Section.
- Support the implementation of the Global Gateway platform and calendar of activities.
Traineeship within the Cooperation Section (COOP)
Main tasks:
- Draft content for key messages, speeches, fact sheets, press releases, digital media reporting and others;
- Investigate, compile information on specific topics of interest for the Cooperation Section;
- Assist in organizing events
We look for:
Qualifications or special requirements:
- At least a Bachelor Diploma in a field relevant to the traineeship profile. A Master degree in a relevant field is an asset;
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish;
- Good knowledge or specialisation in Latin America, knowledge of Peruvian political and/or economic context is an asset;
- Good social media skills and software skills;
- Ability to draft documents (briefings, reports etc.) in English and Spanish;
- Knowledge of statistics and data analysis is a strong asset;
- Some knowledge of graphic design is an asset.

Important information to read before applying
Before applying you are requested to examine the dedicated website as well as the general eligibility criteria for a paid traineeship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 – Paid traineeship).
Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travels, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.
Applications from candidates who do not meet the requirements specified in the vacancy notice will not be considered. Following a thorough evaluation of all applications, only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and requested to provide the necessary documentation to confirm their eligibility. Failure to submit the required documents within the specified deadline will result in the automatic rejection of the application.
Due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
The traineeships can only be offered in compliance with the local legislation as well as the legislation of the country of origin.
Citizens from EU Member states:
- must provide proof of a valid international health insurance coverage for the duration of the traineeship.
- must hold a relevant entrance visa and / or temporary residence permit where applicable, based on the traineeship agreement, the duration of the traineeship, and in compliance with the local legislation.
