Description
In this software engineering role, you will be part of a new team that is creating novel user experiences on iOS, iPadOS & macOS, powered by state-of-the-art image algorithms and machine learning models. You will leverage your excellent programming and analytical skills, along with your knowledge of photography and colour science, to devise best-in-class solutions to image processing problems. You will be working closely with cross-functional partners, stakeholders and development teams in Cupertino and across the world and you should be comfortable driving projects independently in this environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent programming skills (preferably in Swift, Objective-C and Metal)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Practical experience with Core Image, Metal or other GPU image processing technologies
- Practical experience with developing image processing algorithms
- An understanding of colour science
- An ability to devise and understand mathematical solutions to image processing problems
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the aesthetics of visual imaging
- A deep understanding of and experience with photography or videography
- Relevant industry experience
- Fundamental understanding of camera systems and sensors
- Experience with developing for Apple platforms
- MS/PhD degree in CS/Mathematics or equivalent experience
