This role is a hybrid of practical data engineering and insights generation, with a special focus on supporting the team's adoption of Microsoft Fabric and enhancing self-serve analytics capabilities.
In the role as Data Analyst you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer.
As our new Data Engineer, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will be working closely with the IT department, data analysts in your team and business experts. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver a robust data foundation that enables your colleagues to develop valuable insights for business stakeholders.
The team you will be part of
At our global HQ, located in Ballerup, Denmark, you will be part of the Analytics and Insights team within the Global Customer Experience (GCX) function. The team consists of five data analysts with skills in data engineering, modelling, insights development, process automations, advanced analytics and user adoption. We provide actionable insights within our own function, external GN departments and are closely collaborating with other BI teams across the organization.
This is a team where personal development is highly valued, collaboration is actively encouraged and supported, and new ideas are always listened to. We have adopted the new technologies and processes while organizing our work in a structured and governed way.

- Design and implement a lakehouse framework for the department.

- Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements, ensure data flow improvements, and develop scalable and re-usable data products.
- Manage and maintain the team’s Git repository.
- Translate business requirements into data model designs and technical specs for BI backend developers.
- Analyse data from a business perspective, create insights and produce reliable and actionable recommendations for GCX Management and key business stakeholders.
- Manage data-centric initiatives within GCX and offer authoritative guidance on issues pertaining to data.
Your personal and professional journey is valuable to us, and we consider the following factors as possible contributors to a mutually beneficial partnership. You have:
- Solid experience with data engineering tools (ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, data modelling).
- In-depth experience with or a keen interest in Microsoft Fabric.
- Proficiency in SQL, especially Python, and Spark for data transformations.
- Solid working knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and dataset optimization.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Thorough experience with designing and structuring data for efficient querying and analysis.
- Effective communication skills, stakeholder management abilities and ability to collaborate across the organization.
- Capacity for self-guided work and collaboration within a group setting.
- A relevant higher education degree in IT, engineering, or other relevant fields of studies.
- A genuine interest in data and a mindset of continuous learning and upskilling — whether it's exploring new tools, staying current on platform updates, or sharing knowledge with the team.
