The department analyses products under development, performs development stability, validates analytical methods and transfers analyses to the commercial analytical area. FSAD also supports implementation of pipetting robots to automate laboratory processes, supports the preparation of regulatory documents and contributes during inspections by authorities and partners. The position
As a Scientist in FSAD, you will be part of Analytical Development consisting of 40 committed colleagues divided into 4 departments and a core team. You will report directly to the Senior Manager of FSAD. The team consists of three scientists and six laboratory technicians. All deliveries in FSAD are made with a high focus on quality and regulatory requirements. Organisationally, Analytical Development is part of Global CMC Development in R&D.

Your primary tasks will be to:

• Prepare experimental plans and evaluate results in collaboration with laboratory technicians and scientists in the department.
• Prepare protocols and reports.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data handling from laboratory experiments.
• Prepare documentation for authorities.
• Validate new relevant analytical methods to the appropriate GMP level for clinical phase I – III applying innovative approaches.
• Support with digitalization and automation of data and workflows.

The position is a maternity cover for 12 months.

Your profile
We expect that you:

• Have an education as a Master of Science in Engineering, Master of Pharmacy, or similar – preferably with a relevant Ph.D.
• Have experience with various analytical techniques such as HPLC, ELISA, Western blotting, and other relevant methods.
• Have an interest in applying innovative approaches in refining analytical methods and improving efficiency without compromising quality.
• Have an interest in analysing and interpreting complex data sets, including the use of statistical software and tools e.g., JMP.
• Have an interest in automating laboratory processes.
• Have experience with GMP.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

You understand how to work in a structured and independent manner. You are result-oriented and have the will to take responsibility for the team’s and your own tasks.
