We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Linux Operations Engineer to join our team at Sentia (Aeven Group company) in Prague. In this role, you'll be a key player in managing and maintaining our critical Linux-based infrastructure.
You will work on everything from system administration to automation, ensuring our systems are reliable, secure, and performing as required.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about building robust systems and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage, monitor, and maintain our fleet of Linux servers (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
- Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and manage infrastructure services such as web servers (Apache, Nginx), databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and caching systems (Redis).
- Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools (e.g., using Bash, Python) to streamline operations and improve eYiciency. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is a plus.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system performance, security, and network connectivity.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and manage monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios) to ensure system health and proactively address issues.
- Security: Apply security best practices, perform regular security audits, and manage firewalls and access controls.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and command-line tools.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
- Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python.
- Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with a cloud platform (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge of database administration.
- Knowledge of KVM. o Certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer).
- Experience with Zabbix used for monitoring is advantageous
- Cloudstack experience
